Who We Are
Diya Foundation stands as a beacon of hope in the fight against poverty through education. Since its inception in 1988, Diya has been dedicated to empowering talented yet financially distressed students by providing over 600,000+ merit scholarships valued at more than US$ 10.5+ million. With a vision to create an Educated Pakistan and a mission to promote employable education, Diya is led by a team of dedicated professionals and supported by donors worldwide. Through initiatives like community home schools and partnerships with thousands of educational institutions, Diya ensures that every donation directly contributes to providing scholarships and building a brighter future for future generations. Transparency and accountability are at the core of Diya’s values, making it a trusted ally in pursuing a more equitable society.
Diya Education Foundation U.K., established in 2017 and registered as a charity, has raised £145,000 by 31/12/2023. Transparency is maintained through accessible financial records on the Charity Commission’s website. Donations receive a 25% top-up from the U.K. government due to gift-aid status. DEF U.K. highlights its volunteer team across Scotland and Ireland, led by committed trustees guiding the foundation’s educational mission. Grateful for support from donors, volunteers, and trustees in making a positive impact.
